Your Guide to the 2010 Alice Awards: Alice's Bazaar
Posted by: MargauxApr 27 2010, 3:05 pm
Have you heard? Instead of a silent auction this year, when guests arrive they will have a chance to wander through Alice's Bazaar. Imagine a marketplace filled with booths selling exotic wares, like raffle tickets and fun gifts and Alice souvenirs. This way, people who don't want to bid on vacation homes and catered dinner parties at the live auction can still support the BTA and come home with cool stuff.
Destination: Food. Get your passports stamped with entry visas to the best of Portland bakeries, breakfasts, food carts, and more.
Travel Lightly. Don't worry about packing your own suitcase; pick up a suitcase packed with a surprise gift and plenty of room for souvenirs from the journey.
Photobooth. Forget the digital camera. Who wants to see the world through a tiny viewfinder and come home with hundreds of photos, but not a single shot of yourself? Stop by the Photobooth to capture the Alice experience and prove you were there.
Golden tickets. This is the real first class ticket. For $100 you'll be entered in a raffle for the golden ticket and the chance to scoop up the live auction item of your choice before the bidding begins. Only 99 raffle tickets will be sold.
Restaurant Raffle. You could win ten gift certificates of $100 each for Portland's favorite restaurants. Take a chance for just $10.
