Get muddy with the BTA at Cross Crusade this fall
Posted by: MargauxSep 22 2009, 3:32 pm
The BTA is gearing up to get muddy at Cross Crusade this year, starting with the premier race at Alpenrose on October 4. We'll be handing out gifts to anyone who wears their BTA or BCC t-shirt to the race, and we're offering special perks to new members who join at our booth. Stop by our booth to say hi at all four events in October!
We're also looking for volunteer course marshals for Kids Kross races at every event this season. Scroll down to learn more and see the full race schedule.
We hope Race 1 at Alpenrose is muddier than last year. Photo by Cory Grove.
Join the BTA!
If you join the BTA at a Cross Crusade race you get a special 10% discount on BTA gear, plus all of the other great benefits that come with membership.
Free gifts!
Wear your BTA or BCC t-shirt and get a free gift when you stop by the BTA booth in the Expo area. Don't have a BTA t-shirt? Get one at the BTA store (www.bta4bikes.org/gear). And don't forget, you can save the cost of shipping when you choose the "Pick Up in Portland" option at checkout! It's good for your wallet, good for your planet and good for your legs.
Volunteer at Kids Kross!
The BTA is looking for members and potential members to assist with course marshaling the Kid's Kross races at each event this year from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.
Every year the BTA teaches comprehensive bicycle safety education to approximately 5,000 Oregon students, so when the folks at the Cross Crusade asked if we would take on the task of organizing volunteers for the Kid's Kross rides we were totally thrilled. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the BTA and help promote health, education, development, and FUN for youth riders.
If you have questions or would like to volunteer, contact Scott Lieuallen at scottl@bta4bikes.org or 503-226-0676 x22 -or- you can drop by our booth and sign up on the spot.

Scott, I am available for Kids Kross the weekends of 10/24-25 and 10/31-11/01. Let me know if I can help.
