BTA needs Bike Safety Education Community Ride Volunteers

Greetings to our enthusiastic, fun loving BSE Community Ride Volunteers. Can you fit that in your resume?
Fall season of the BTA's nationally recognized Bike Safety Education program gets started on September 14th. The first Community Ride is the following Friday the 18th. We will be in 18 schools in Portland alone this fall so we will really need a lot of volunteer help to make sure the kids stay safe and have fun on bikes.
Volunteers ride with elementary and middle school kids as chaperones on practice rides in neighborhoods around the schools. On-the-job training is provided.
If you'd like to volunteer, plan to attend the Bike Safety Education orientation and organizing party on September 23. Pizza and soda provided.
When: Wednesday September 23, 5:30 – 7:00pm
Where: BTA Office, 233 NW 5th Ave (between Davis and Everett in Old Town)
What: Pizza and soda from 5:30 to 6:00, orientation from 6:00 to 7:00. Meet the other BSE Community Ride volunteers, and get a briefing from Super Star BSE Instructor Joel Holly. We will have the full fall season calendar displayed so you can sign up for Community Rides that evening.
Please let us know if you plan to attend so we get enough pizza and soda. RSVP to Tom Rousculp at 503-226-0676 x20 or tom@bta4bikes.org
More Bike Safety Education rides will be held in communities throughout Oregon. Contact your local BSE Coordinator to find out how to volunteer in your town.

would have loved to have been involved but it looks like I'm a little late for this one(?) Perhaps not?
Keep in touch with me if I can help in any way. I am a co-owner of Citybikes coop, have 3 years of mechanic skills and a 25 years of a joyful riding experience. Hope to help with kids when ever possible. Keep me posted!
