Twilight Criterium brings professional bike racing to downtown Portland

Last Friday local bike racers joined some of the top professional cyclists on a technical course through downtown Portland for the annual Twilight Criterium. Thousands of spectators came to watch one of the most exciting bike races of the year, check out some of Portland's framebuilders, and talk bikes with familiar and unfamiliar faces, lawyers, politicians, up-and-coming racers, advocates, and many more.
This year, the race almost didn't happen after the title sponsor was forced to back out due to budget cuts.
We'd like to say Thank You! to Ray Thomas of Swanson, Thomas and Coon and the local law firms BicycleAttorney.com, Berkshire Ginsberg and BicycleLaw.com for stepping up to rescue one of Portland's favorite bike events.
Thanks also to Bikes to Rwanda for providing free valet bike parking.
The Portland Sportsman has a detailed recap of the race itself.
