This just in from Multnomah County:
The Burnside Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 6 for the Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade. The sidewalks are open during the parade, but it won't be easy to cross the bridge on a bicycle due to the parade and crowded sidewalks.
It's also Fleet Week, so expect more drawbridge openings on Broadway, Steel and Burnside bridges. You can avoid delays by crossing the river south of Burnside. The ships are expected to depart on Monday, June 8 before and after the morning commute.
Here's a photo from the first-ever Rose Parade:

- Overheard at the BTA: "When horses are outlawed downtown, only outlaws will ride horses."
