Winter Bike Commuting workshop

Just because it's now cold and dark doesn't mean you have to give up the fun, the exercise and the budget-blessedness of your bike commute!

Come to our annual Winter Bike Commuting workshop and figure out how to stay comfortable and safe all winter long (for more detail on legal issues, you can also attend our Legal Clinic next week). As it's over the (winter) dinner hour, I think I'll order a pizza or two to keep us going – bring a dollar for the donation jar if you're going to be hungry.
RSVP! to stephanie[at]bta4bikes[dot]org
Winter Bike Commuting workshop
Thursday, November 13th, 6:00 – 7:00 pm
BTA office, 233 NW 5th Ave.
We'll discuss:
–Lighting and reflective options
–Warmth and dryth options
–Ways to transport clothes and other goods
–Safety tips for riding on winter roads
RSVP (to stephanie[at]bta4bikes[dot]org) so we know how many chairs and pizza slices to provide!

You've got the bike-commute perks in exactly the right order (for me, anyway): Fun, exercise, economy. Responsibility to Mother Earth goes in there somewhere, too, but fun is definitely #1 for me!
35° and 98% relative humidity when I went out the door this AM – Brrrrrrrr. Beautiful day for a (couple of) ride(s), though!
I wish there clinics like this in my neck of the woods… Albany… but alas…
