In order to recalibrate the lift counter-weights on the Steel Bridge, a high lift of the deck will occur from 6 to 8 a.m on Saturday, August 16.

The lift will affect both the upper and lower decks of the bridge, necessitating its complete closure to bicycle and pedestrian traffic during that time.

All cyclists planning to cross the bridge during these hours should either bring a nice book to enjoy or consider taking an alternate route across the river.
