When you are out biking around in the gorgeous springtime in Washington County, take a look at the newly installed memorial sign for Tim O’Donnell, a beloved community member who was killed while cycling last June. You will see the memorial as you head east on NW Long Road near where it intersects with NW Cornelius-Schefflin Road. Washington County bike advocates and friends of Tim thank Washington County Transportation Dept. for installing the sign — and also for installing several new "Share the Road" signs on rural roads shared by bicycles and other vehicles.
Earlier this week, Mary O'Donnell was interviewed by Jamie Wilson of KPTV for an upcoming TV segment that they will be airing about people driving with suspended licenses in Oregon. The segment is scheduled for tonight, May 13th, on KPTV's 10 PM news.
Also, all cyclists are invited to participate in the Westside Ride of Silence on May 21st, at 7pm. The WashCo BTC is hosting a solemn procession in honor of cyclists who have died on the road. The ride will begin at Beaverton’s City Library.
