Bike Breakfast starts in Salem

Our friends in the mid-Willamette Valley are starting a new last-Friday tradition: breakfast!
Starting on Leap Day, February 29th, and on the last Friday of every month, the
Mid-Willamette Valley BTA will serve "breakfast on bikes" to bicycle commuters. They'll have coffee, tea, pastries, and good cheer. Coffee will be provided by the Coffee House Café, pastries by Cascade Baking Company, and fruit by LifeSource Natural Foods.
They'll rotate sites around the city every month. The inaugural breakfast will be from 7 am to 9 am this Friday at Winter and Mission SE, rain or shine. They'll be at the light, between the parking lot and sidewalk, just off the street.
If you're biking north via Commercial, High, or 12th just take a little detour through Bush Park to get your breakfast. If you're coming south from Keizer, consider a little extra time on your commute and drop by to say "hi." (They promise to sign tardy slips for your boss.)
This is also your opportunity to get a peak at a Salem-area bicycle project survey, information about bikes on Amtrak, and other bicycle news.

I saw this post a few days late but this is pretty much awesome. It's good to see there's bikey stuff taking root here in Salem; a city that could seriously use more organized bike publicity.
