Sacramento elementary school 4th grade teacher Jerry Landreth approached the Performance Bicycle Shop at Mall 205 earlier this month with an idea to get kids back on their bikes, bikes that had flats. So he organized a Fix-a-Flat day and Performance Bicycle Shop donated the patch kits and tire levers. Anyone who wanted to patch a tube last week had a chance and now a few kids are riding their bikes this summer that wouldn't have been otherwise, and they learned a valuable skill.
