This just in…. but probably in the works for a long time. The Governor has nominated our very own Jay Graves, the reknown owner of the The Bike Gallery stores, to the Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission. This nomination just shows the level of clout that has been developed in the bicycling community.

Every day, I am personally uncovering the level of work that has been constructed by the recreation community and industry. It is great to have friendly powerful bicycle supporters working to increase not only transportation, but recreation.

I personally will throw my hat of support in for Jay during the confirmation process. Jay is on the BTA Board, as well as being on Cycle Oregon's board and a past board chair of the Community Cycling Center. I look forward to posting more about this.
